For a while, developing with newer web technologies was risky because of Firefox. The “Can I Use” tables always glowed red for Firefox and, to a lesser extent, Safari.

But good news! Firefox have really upped its game and is speeding ahead in not only bringing its browser up to speed but, in some ways, leading the pack.

Interop 2026 brought Anchor Positioning and Style Container Queries. Both of which I’m truly thankful for. For those who are new to Interop, it is essentially an agreement between browser builders around which features are a priority and must be in everyone’s hands.

Firefox have released a tool allowing web developers to vote on which features they’d like to see released.

My vote is for border-shape and grid-lanes
